I took a ride into the neighboring country subdivision yesterday and found a plethora of gorgeous flowering trees in full, magnificent bloom.
It was a great opportunity to find out what the new 20x zoom lens could do with clusters of small flowers on trees, at many different distances, and all swaying in the breeze. I took special care to shoot the treetops, for both their greater distance and the increased amoount of sunlight at the top.
When viewing a new batch, even if I don't especially love a picture, before discarding, I always zoom in and pan over it carefully and methodically in search of details that I missed and that are photo worthy.
I was stunned to find this honeybee, below, hovering over a blossom, preparing to land. I would guess that it was at leaast 75' away.
