Day 61 "Living Amidst Chaos"

This is the living room slash makeshift kitchen. It's working out pretty well. The new stove, microhood, sink, and primed crown mouldings also live in this room.

These three pictures are of the guest bedroom/computer room, overflowing with everything I packed up from the kitchen. I made sure there was a path to the computer, but that's all the floor space that's left. I remembered to take the carpet cleaner out of the closet before I covered up the doors with chairs and the china cabinet. One ever knows when a dog might have to barf!

This is as close to living in chaos as I've ever been. It should only last another week.

Day 60 "Too Many Crown Mouldings"

Tuesday, March 29

I have 8 of these crown mouldings to prime, and hopefully paint before installation. I was not prepared for them to be between 14-16' long. There's not even space to walk around them back in the corner. We're all out of empty space around the house, too. I'm trying to think of a place to store them untill we're ready to install them.

Day 59 "I've Been Framed!"

Monday, March 28, 2011

The recess for the refrigerator is finished. That was entirely too much work for about a 6" space! Our young drywaller saved the closet and saved the day! We're all ready for the electrician now.

Day 58 "Good Bones"

Sunday, March 27, 2011

Refrigerator recess framing begun. Will be complete tomorrow. We're saying good-bye to one of the big closets in the office/bedroom behind the kitchen. I think the worst of the mess is behind us now. Or are those "famous last words?"

Day 57 "Drywall Gone"

Part of the wall was removed, exposing one of the office closets. This is where we'll recess the refrigerator. Saturday, March 26, 2011

Day 50 "Hibernation""

This tractor will be emerging from hibernation soon.

Probably accompanied by a yawn, a grunt, and a lot of coughing and choking.

Day 49 "Peeking"

I see you, little daffodil leaf!

Day 44 "Lattice See"

I love lattice!

I am all about lattice. I could use it everywhere.

So far, it's on the front porch, the deck, and the living room and kitchen walls.

I love the shadows it makes in the sunlight, which you will see tomorrow.

Day 43 "A New Spin"

The wheels on the cart go round and round.
