We had 4.75" of rain just overnight and it caused major flooding at the bottom of our property. This is the path the water takes as it rushes down our steep hill. There's not supposed to be a creek here, much less a stray tire. That washed down from our neighbor's property, several hundred feet uphill, at least.

This is a low spot where the water from the hill follows the flood plain and makes its way to Big Running Creek, at our back property line.

The creek is about 25' beyond the treeline, and it's banks are about 4.5' high. I know it came out this far because the tall, uncut grass is all lying down and has been swept with force in one direction.

Grass all swept over, headed toward a lower spot downstream.

Downed trees were swept out into the open. This is all I got before the camera batteries died, but the whole *lower 40* looks just like this. Grass swept over and debris strewn everywhere. I sure wish I had thought to go down in the morning when the water was still high. By supppertime, the floodwaters had receeded back into their banks.
